Eligibility criteria and application procedures

We use needs-based criteria to evaluate applications for financial assistance. Applications are typically reviewed based on a number of factors including the severity of the need (emergency situation, chronic illness, etc.), the impact of the aid on daily life (education, healthcare, basic needs), the availability of resources, and the availability of alternative resources (insurance, government aid, etc.). We make reasonable attempts to be transparent in our decision-making and take factors like confidentiality, dignity, cultural sensitivity, and inclusivity into consideration.

Our Eligibility Criteria include an assessment of the following:

1. Income: Applicant's household income falls below a predetermined poverty line.

2. Urgency: Financial assistance is required for essential needs (education, healthcare, or basic living expenses).

3. Vulnerability: Priority given to women, children, elderly individuals (65+ years), and individuals with disabilities

4. Residency: Applicant resides within Africa.

5. Documentation: Applicant provides adequate documents (ID, proof of income, expense bills, etc).
